(WARNING: This may be a long post. But I want to make sure and get all my memories down. :))
Well our little peanut is here! safe and sound. :) I was getting pretty impatient because I had Noah 2 weeks early, and somehow you just expect that to happen again! haha. So when I went in for my 39 week check up and I was STILL a 3 but was 100% thinned I was a little depressed! ha ha. He told me to come back Wednesday. I'd been having contractions for a couple weeks, some that kind of hurt, but nothing regular or closer then 6 minutes apart. Well Wednesday morning I woke up at 6:00 with contractions and I had them until like 9:30. I totally thought that was it, but they went away! So I went to my Dr. appt at noon and I was a 4-5 now and 100% thin, but NO contractions. Our Dr wanted me to go up to the hospital and get my water broke. He really felt like it would be pretty quick once we did that and we were all afraid of a repeat of Noah, or worse. (Noah was born 30 minutes after getting to the hospital) I was afraid of labor not starting even if he broke my water. So Adam took the rest of the day off work and we walked the park for an hour...but nothing. so I went home and took a nap. :) ha ha. Adam was getting mad. Finally we decided we might as well go... our kids had the next 4 days off school and my mom was good at work to be able to stay with them. Plus the Dr and hospital called wandering where the heck we were. lol.

So we got to the hospital about 5:00 and he broke my water. Let me just say...the contractions were INSTANT, and painful, and right on top of each other. After 4 pokes we finally got my IV and the contractions were getting worse. I still wasn't sure I wanted an epidural. I did it without one with Noah...so I knew I could, just wasn't sure. So I asked for something in my IV first. Well...I never got that Fentanyl I wanted. lol. They checked me 1st and i was complete, which I kind if expected. Those contractions were AWFUL. Much worse then with my other 2; plus she was posterior. They called the Dr and told him to run. I honestly didn't think he was going to make it. I was ready to push whether he was there or not. Lol. But he got there...running! ha ha. I pushed 3 times through 1 contraction and she was here.
Born October 17th at 6:11 p.m, 7lbs 14oz 19" long. and VERY swollen and bruised.
She couldn't keep her oxygen up right after delivery so they took her to the nursery for like 1/2 an hour and brought her back. Such a relief. I missed her already. There is something so sweet and spiritual about a newborn baby. :) It's such an amazing feeling. People were pretty shocked when we called to tell them she was here already. The kids were dying to come up and see her. So my mom brought them up after I took a shower. (the joy of no epidural) :-)

She still had antibiotics to get that night. We also were waiting on some labs and a chest x-ray, but we were hoping SO MUCH that she would be able to go home. Dr Z came in that night around 7 and said we could take her home if we felt good about. (since I'm a nurse and know what to look for) plus her chest x-ray was better and her labs were fine. We about jumped for joy! We had things packed and the videos watched in like an hour! :)
We came home to some very excited kids and our wonderful neighbor had dropped off homemade chips and salsa. It felt SO good to be home, in our own bed, with baby stuff everywhere. :)
Well Adam stayed the night with me and we were hoping to go home the next night. But through the night her oxygen was down again. so the next morning they admitted her to the nursery. :( I just started crying. It broke my heart to not have her at my side. They did a chest x-ray and she had fluid in her lungs; probably aspirated during delivery. She slept most of the time. But we did get called a couple times because she got so worked up. The nurses said she had a temper and was like 0-90. There isn't much wimpering with her. ha ha. She is like full out ticked when she want's something! LOL.
So we ended up staying 2 nights. Adam was amazing and by my side the whole time. the kids were struggling not having us home. Mady was very emotional about leaving us there and then again about Hayleigh not being in our room the next day. It was very heartbreaking. So Adam went home each night to put the kids to bed.
On Friday we went in the nursery to see her and her oxygen was off! YEA! so excited about that. They also let Mady in to see her, which she was pretty excited about.

School & Preparing for baby!
Well both kids have started school. We've had some mixed reviews from them and some new schedules to get used to, but overall the kids are adjusting well.
*MADY*
Mady loves school; she always has. She was excited weeks before. :) The only real drama we had was over picking out an outfit for the first day of school. She wanted something pink, but everything pink she had she didn't want to wear. She wanted a skirt. such a picky girl. so we finally agreed on this outfit with the "little bit" of pink it had and a big pink flower. Oh and pink fingernails. This girl and her pickiness....oh help us!
We took her to school that day and found her spot. :) And lucky her....she was right by her friend Chase (or future husband as she calls him, lol) His mom and I knew that was going to be a bad idea from the start!! LOL. By the second day they had been separated and both in time out for talking and touching each other. geez! But we talked about it and she has a super nice teacher. So far it hasn't happened again. Although her and Chase have a nice distance from each other. :)
Overall Mady is doing pretty well. She knows her letters and sounds. We are starting to sound out words in simple books. she loves doing her homework, but is pretty exhausted every day after school. There are a lot of days she comes home, eats and falls asleep. It's tough adjusting to a new routine and I think it's mentally exhausting. However I am so glad we held her back. I think it made a world of difference for her. :)
*NOAH*
Well our little stud is in pre-school Mon-Wed-Fri at almost the exact same times as Mady. he was pretty excited to go, but a little more nervous then Mady. He liked meeting his teachers at the pre-school night; he was pretty laid back about it. :) The first day of school he was a little quiet, but he felt like such a big boy getting to wear a backpack. His teachers told us that he made a little friend that he loved to play with. So that was good. Until the next week he came home all bummed out and said that his friend "Kobe in the red shirt that I play basketball with, isn't in my class anymore". I kind of blew it off and just encouraged him to make other friends, but he seemed pretty down. Then one day his teacher asked how he was doing because she'd noticed he was pretty quiet and not really playing with anyone at school. That concerned me a little. She told me Kobe had been moved to a morning class and Noah wasn't really making friends and just seemed bummed out at school. She honestly felt his vocabulary and speech are so far ahead that he gets frustrated communicating with some of the other kids in the class. I guess he told her he didn't want to play with the "little kids", but they are all his age or older. so crazy. I never thought I would have a kid struggle for being ahead. So I went and helped in his class for a couple days and we made a couple new friends. :) he's trying at least. It just broke my heart to see him so disappointed. Apparently him and this other kid had a lot in common. He seems to be doing much better now and really likes going to school. He's always got lots of stories and his teachers tell us he's pretty entertaining. I'm afraid to ask. lol. :)
Other then that....I've been doing this!
ha ha. Just cooking a baby! Getting ready to be done! It's crazy how exciting it is to be pregnant and feel that baby move...but by the end...it just gets tough to enjoy any of it. I still never get tired of hearing her heart beat or feeling her kick. I definitely know what a miracle having a baby is. She's a pretty active little thing and we've gotten lots of entertainment at poking my belling and watching her and feeling her poke back. It's like you can tell they have personality already. :)We are just ready to hold her and cuddle her now. We are very grateful and excited for her to join our family. :-)
We've got everything out and it's taking over! ha ha. you forget how much stuff they use and need!
Made a couple of baby blankets. I especially like the blue one. I picked that material and I think it's my favorite. Adam picked the other. :)Preparing for a winter baby is very different then my other 2 June babies!
The other thing we tackled this week was the 'breastfeeding' topic so the kids wouldn't come to the hospital and be like....'ummm...what the heck?" We reviewed all kinds of animal pictures and talked about the baby and mommy cows at the fair. We even looked at one mommy picture...had a few giggle fits over that. But I think eventually it will become no big deal. Mady even said in her prayers tonight: "Please bless that mommy can feed the baby her special-mommy-milk out of her boobies"....oh geez! I did NOT use that word in any of my explanations. so this should be interesting for sure. :) Anyhow...wish us luck. As of Sunday we are 38 weeks, and that is exactly when Noah was born...so fingers crossed!

Summer catch up!
This summer we tried to spend a lot of time at the pool! It was so HOT! and being pregnant...(not fun being in a swimsuit lol) but it felt SO good to be in the water. Mady is like a FISH! she is so much like me when I was kid. We literally took her home crying EVERY time. She would be exhausted, with red eyes and not even care. :) Crazy girl. It was also a HUGE summer for her because she was finally tall enough to go down the water slide and could swim to the side. She loved it and felt like a big girl! Noah got so much more brave this summer. Last year he wouldn't even brave the little kid slides, but this year he loved it. So it was a lot of fun for everyone. :)
They also did swim lessons this summer for 2 weeks and I think it was great experience for both of them. Noah's little 'girlfriend' Kaleigh was in his class and he thought that was great. His teachers were awesome and he had a lot of fun. Mady's teacher...well....I think she thought she was teaching 10 year olds instead of 5 & 6 yr olds. but oh well...Mady still had fun. :)
The kids also did gymnastics every Wednesday all summer. They absolutely loved it. :) We've actually considered putting Noah in it during the year...he did so well and really enjoyed it. After gymnastics every week we made it a habit to go to the library. The kids would play computer games for awhile and then we'd check out a few books and movies. :)
At the end of July we went to Utah for 4 days. It was a lot of fun to get away! We stayed the first night with our awesome friends Chant and Kara. it was SO good to see them. Then the next day we went to the Hogle Zoo. let me just tell you what a bad idea that was in July...around noon and 7 months pregnant. holy...crap! way to hot! and my feet and fingers looked like big sausages! my hips hurt...I could go on and on. Not the best idea we had. But the kids had lots of fun and we spent way to much money on ice cream and frozen lemonades! ha ha.
Afterwards we went up to Park City and checked into our condo and went swimming! Mady seriously would have stayed in there ALL DAY! she loved it. Adam would throw her and she would do flips. funny girl. Noah put the life jacket on and swam all over. We did that at least twice a day while we were there. lol. It was so relaxing to have nothing else to worry about but having fun together. :) Other then swimming...We did some school clothes shopping, nap taking and eating. it was great!

We spent a few evening at the drive-in, ate lots of snow cones, BBQ'd and just enjoyed the nice weather!
Overall we had a busy but fun summer! Hope everyone else did too!
