4th of July

The 4th of July is definitely one of our favorite holidays. We of course started our day off with the awesome Rexburg parade with the fam. :) the kids love it and all they really care about is the candy that gets thrown. and of course Mady is thrilled with all the local cheerleaders and dance teams. ha ha. :)
Afterwards we walked around the park and let the kids have some treats and play on the bouncy toys. It was a hot day and I think my feet and fingers looked like sausages by the time we got home. blah! but it was fun. We had a BBQ and the kids wore themselves out in the pool and playing outside. So we all took a nap. ha ha. My idea of a holiday. :) Mady getting her glitter tattoo. :)
When we got up we headed to Idaho Falls and had some yummy Mexican food for dinner and then headed over to the green belt for the fireworks. And let me just say...we usually avoid them. It is so busy up there that it takes TWICE the time to get home. but they are amazing. There are no fireworks in our area that compare. We went with Jeff, Terri and the girls...so it was lots of fun. Of course you get to people watch. :) There's nothing like watching the fireworks with several drunk people around you. ha ha.
Mady gets crazy excited!!
Noah...well...not so much. he covers his ears and ducks most of the time. lol. :)
I love the 4 th of July. I love the patriotism. It reminds me how many people are away from their families and homes, fighting for us so that we can be here and be safe. So many people serving. We are so blessed to live in this country. :-)

  1. I love the whole people watching comment. It reminds me of the year we went together and that lady that kept yelling BUBBA! The best.
