Summer Days

It's been so nice to have some warm days for the kids to go out and play. They love the pool; every morning Mady wakes up and says "Pool, swimsuit?", so we fill it up so that it can warm up. It's been almost 90 outside though. The trampoline, concrete and sand in the sand box get way hot! We kept having to cool everything down with the sprinkler!

It was so bright that Noah couldn't even open his eyes when he said cheese!

Kru even joined us

Trying to keep the sand cool

BBQ'ing out side! Yea, not much of a mess for mom!

Waiting for Daddy

We were waiting for Adam to come home for lunch one day, but he was taking forever so I fed the kids but was trying to keep Noah up to see him, because he gets SUPER excited when daddy walks through the door. He started looking very sleepy and would close his eyes when he'd chew... it was so stinkin' cute!

He's going...

Going...

Gone

I just have to say how much fun my little guy is, because looking back over our blog, there seems to be a lot of focus on Mady. He has such a cute personality. Like today my mom gave Mady an oreo and went to give him a less messy cookie and he gave it back to her and said "pease!" so she gave it back to him, and he turned around and threw it on the floor and went after Mady's!! This kid has so much attitude but is also so sweet! I can always count on him to cuddle. And it is so much fun to hear all the words he says. When he gets up in the morning all we hear him yell is "Mom!" then it's "milk, milk" and when he gets up from his nap its "nack, nack" (snack) He says so many things. Adam swears the other night he said "love you" back to him, but I have yet to hear that, although this kid says a lot!!! He loves his big sister and can't wait for her to wake-up! We love our little man and we feel so lucky to have been blessed with him!!

Potty training!! AHHHH!

So we are on our 5th day of potty training and have had NO accidents today! Yea! We skipped pull-ups except at night or nap time and went straight to 'big girl panties'. the first day wasn't so bad, the second day was AWFUL! So many people told me about all their potty training nightmares but I swear that it doesn't make it any less frustrating. I would just get her off the potty and she'd run in the next room and pee and just WATCH it run down her legs. And every book says BE PATIENT, don't get frustrated, but sometimes it seems like they know EXACTLY what they are doing! Anyhow... we are making progress, I just wish she would tell me when she has to go, instead of me asking her and taking her 100 times a day. - Anyhow... we've just been playing outside in the awesome weather we have today!! finally! When my granparents were here they probably wandered if we ever had nice days! We sure had a lot of fun while they were here though and we miss them tons!!!

I had to post this picture of my grandpa and the kids, because they are sitting on a very old rocking chair that has been passed through the family and they brought it out for us!! Thanks so much!

We had a BBQ at Adam's parents and I think everyone had fun.

And of course we had to go 4 wheeling, my mom even went. She was a good sport, although she looked a little scared when she rode with Jeff, LOL but she said it was a blast!

Birthday Pictures!

So we've been so busy with my grandparents here that I haven't gotten these pictures up. I've also been doing some planning and reading about potty training Mady. SCARY! I've heard lots of disaster stories. So any advice and encouragement will be great. Anyhow... here's the pictures of the kids party. It was tons of fun and turned out great even though it ended up in the garage.

Lots of decorating made it feel like a party!

The cake!

Our kids were so spoiled! Thanks to everyone!

Such an awesome party!

It is so hard for me to believe that my baby girl was 3 today. It's so obvious how much she isn't a baby anymore and she's a little girl. She was so happy today. We had a ton of fun. We got them a blow up ball pit and when we took Mady in the front room in the morning she just screamed, "OH my gosh!". Her and Noah played all day with it. And of course it rained all day so we cleared out the garage and decorated it. (it looked really cute.) We had tons of food. We had an indestructible sponge bob piniatta! 9 kids hit that thing like 30 times. We thought it would never break. Then we had cake and ice cream. Their cake turned out so cute! After that we opened presents and they were of course so spoiled! It was just a good day and I was so glad that we are in a house where we could have our whole family over and be comfortable. We had like 30 people here and it was really fun. It just amazes me how much I love Mady and Noah, and it makes me feel so good to make a big deal out of their birthday; it's fun for me to see them so happy. They are the best things that has ever happened to me and Adam for sure! - We also got a surprise visit from my Grandpa & Grandma Davis on friday. On a whim they just decided to drive out from Minnesota for their birthday. We were so excited to see them and are glad they are here! We've missed them! - Anyhow, over all it was a great day. Even though we couldn't be outside it was a lot of fun! (It's midnight, so I will post pictures tomorrow!)

My little ones

Just some fun pictures of the kidos!

While we waited for the rain to clear up, Mady helped me make magnets. She feels like such a big girl.

So Noah is into cleaning up after us! If we leave a diaper or anything on the floor, he'll walk over and put in the garbage, he even closes the lid and then he'll clap like he's such a good boy!

Both Mady and Noah are crazy sleepers. This day Mady got so tired she fell asleep on the couch, which never happens. She looked so comfy. Noah just looks so cute and angelic when he's sleeping. It makes me want to lean down and kiss him!!

The last few days Mady has had soup for breakfast. She won't eat ANYTHING else. So I figure, choose your battles, and this isn't at the top of my list. I figure that she's eating and it's a phase she'll grow out of. (and any time you take a picture of Mady, Noah smiles and says "cheese!" so you have to get one of him too!)

Noah found Mady's chair and just loves it. He likes to kick back and drink his juice! What a little stud.

Jumpin' Girl

So we got the kids a trampoline; and can I say how much I love the enclosure, I don't feel like a psycho mom running around the egde telling Mady to stay in the middle. :) We put it together on Sunday in the few nice hours we had, and since then Mady has maybe been able to go play maybe TWICE because of our lovely weather. Every day she says, " Mom, jump on tramp?". Hopefully we'll have more sunny days soon because she loves it. Anyhow, Adam had tons of fun putting it together. We both found the front of the box funny that says 'easy assembly'.

So this Adam in the mess of all the pieces. Lol. Oh where to start, where to start....

Noah is just trying to help daddy! Or maybe he just likes to put the pieces in his mouth.

Yea! It's all done and it only took 3 1/2 hours. Mady cried and cried when we had to go in the house to eat.

Birthday Party Woes

So we are working on the all the party details for Saturday. We had all these outside plans. We have a piniatta (sponge bob - Yea!) we are doing dutch oven and setting up the volley ball net. I feel like I have so much to do, and now we have the added stress of the news telling us that there is a 30% chance of isolated showers. What does that mean? My guess is that it means we could have all the food and decorations set up and have a small rain shower grace us. All it has done is rain here! It's the end of JUNE!!! Mady's birthday is always nice. But now that we have a big yard and plan this big thing, it will probably rain and we'll all be shoved into the house. Oh well. I have a couple days to hope for a miracle. :) It is suppose to be like 70 degrees. So hopefully by 5:00 it will clear. Idaho's weather is stupid. - Other then that Adam is on my list of helpers. We have presents to wrap, a house to clean, piniatta to fill, goody bags to put together.. etc... Adam is a pretty good helper, but sometimes it doesn't take any of my stress. When I feel like I have a lot to do, I am very picky. He just doesn't do things the same way I do. Not that many guys do. But I know I need to sit back and appreciate his help, cuz he really does try. So here's to putting him to work and hoping everything turns out good. Either way the kids will have fun. They don't care how many people are crammed in as long as they have kids to play with and food to eat!!

Then we all went on a ride and Noah seemed to enjoy that.

Mady is a 4 wheeling Queen!

So I was suppose to work last night but got put on call. Yea! So we went out to Adam's parents in Newdale. He's doing dutch oven for the kids birthday party next weekend so we took them the stuff. It was nice out so we took the kids for 4 wheeling rides. Noah wasn't real fond of it. He used to love it, but last night he just cried and reached for me. Mady on the other hand thought she should just be able to drive all by herself. She just kept saying, "I'm driving". It was cute and she had tons of fun. (Also, if you can see it, Mady has curly hair and we straightened it and it looked so cute on her!)

Streakers!

So just a quick & funny story. When Adam was home for lunch yesterday, Noah got really messy so we took his clothes off and he was running around in his diaper for a min. Well Adam followed me into the bedroom to put some clothes away and all of a sudden Mady comes running in saying, "I'm naked!!!" and she was! completely! Then comes Noah right on her tail completely naked!! So we had these 2 streakers running around. From what we guessed, Mady took Noah's diaper off so that they could both be naked! ( I had a cute picture of a naked Noah sitting in the middle of the strewn clothes all over the kitchen, but unfortunately it's a little 'revealing' for the internet. lol)

I tried to get a cute picture of Adam and Noah, but Noah is a goof ball and wouldn't quit waving his arms and giggling when Adam would get close.

Mady loved the fried ice cream, and Noah loved Dad's pop! He's a Mtn. Dew kind of kid.

Birthday Shopping & Dinner

Adam had Thursday off so we took the kids to Idaho Falls and to get stuff for the birthday party and then we went out to eat at Garcias. When it's someone's birthday they bring out a sombrero (don't know how to spell it) and sing to you and you get fried ice cream. So we told them it was Mady's birthday because we thought she would think that was funny. She didn't; she just pushed the hat off. She got really shy. But Noah loved the singing and clapped his hands to it! Then we put the hat on him and he thought that was great.

Out for Pizza

He must have been on one because he did the same thing with his fork when we went out for pizza. He thought he was pretty funny. I think Mady was hungry and tired because she got a nap in the car on the way to Idaho Falls and was like a different child!
